Fiedler Elementary Grade 5 students held a Grand Opening ribbon-cutting for their new cafeteria before the September Board of Education meeting. Students are thrilled for the space to be open for lunch today.
"I am excited because I watched the construction start," said Allison H. "And it's amazing to see it finished! I am excited to be able to use it tomorrow."
Olivia C. is excited because, "We have extra space and now the gym is just a gym."
The students also were honored with leading the Board and audience members in saying the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of the meeting.
