Swim - Community Recreation

Kearsley Community Schools offers swim lessons throughout the year, making it easier than ever to enjoy water. The group sizes are small in order to ensure each participant receives plenty of instruction.

Our pool is located at Kearsley High School, 4302 Underhill Dr., Flint, MI 48506

Kearsley students are available to participate in Open Swim, at the of all lessons, on dates listed in the Swim Schedule below. The cost is $3 per swimmer.

Students must be registered for lessons before the first class date. Lesson payment will not be taken at the door.

Swim Schedule

Session 1 - September & October 2025

6 Weeks of Classes, pick Monday or Wednesday
Cost: $30

  • Monday Classes: September 8, 15, 22, 29, October 13, 20

  • Wednesday Classes: September 10, 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22

Registration begins:

  • Residents: August 25

  • Non-Residents: September 1

Programs & Times:

7:00-7:30 p.m.

  • Level 1 & 2: Introduction to Water Skills/Fundamental Aquatic Skills (Minimum age - 4 years old)

7:30-8:30 p.m.

  • Level 3: Stroke Development (Must be able to float without support)

  • Level 4: Stroke Improvement

  • Level 5 & 6: Stroke Refinement & Personal Water Safety

8:30-9:30 p.m.

  • Open Swim - $3 per swimmer

Session 2 - November & December 2025

Pick Monday or Wednesday - Please note, Monday classes run for 7 weeks & Wednesday classes for 6 weeks*

7 Weeks of Classes

  • Monday Classes: November 3, 10, 17, 24, December 1, 8, 15

  • Cost: $35

6 Weeks of Classes

  • Wednesday Classes: November 5, 12, 19, December  3, 10, 17

  • Cost: $30

  • Non-Residents: October 20
