Kearsley Families,
Creating safe and innovative learning environments for every single Kearsley Hornet remains one of our district’s highest priorities.
Incredibly, we are approaching the final phase of our building improvements that were included in the 2022 Bond proposal approved by voters in May 2022. I want to provide you with an overview of the building projects we’ve completed over the summer and throughout the past few years, along with informing you about what is scheduled for completion in the future.
Through careful planning, securing funding from 12 separate sources and grants along with strong returns on the investment of our bond proceeds, we've been able to extend our impact well beyond the original scope of the 2022 bond. While the bond itself generated $21.65 million, we have now invested almost $50 million into districtwide improvements—more than doubling the impact for our students, staff, and Kearsley community.
You’ll find a summary of our most significant completed and upcoming projects, along with the specific funding sources used for each. At the end of this document, we’ve included definitions of these sources to provide additional clarity. This information is also available on the capital projects page on district website, with photos included.
We are proud of the transformation that has taken place continues in our district and are deeply grateful for the trust and partnership of our community. Your investment in our schools is building a stronger, brighter future for all current and future Kearsley students. Thank you for being an essential part of this exciting journey!
Sincerely,
Paul Gaudard
