Good morning Weston Families,
We want to share some important reminders and updates to our car loop procedures to ensure smooth and safe arrival and dismissal for all students.
Morning Drop-Off
The car loop will close between 8:35 and 8:40 a.m. once we observe that no more cars are joining the line. This adjustment allows staff to get inside promptly and begin working with students on time.
When the white “Car Loop Closed” sign is displayed, please do not enter the loop. If you arrive after that time, you will need to park and walk your child to the front door.
Please have students prepared to exit the car quickly when you pull up, including having backpacks and other items ready to exit the vehicle. This keeps the loop moving faster for everyone.
Afternoon Pick-Up
Families must keep their car loop number visible at all times, even after staff have collected it on our daily list. The number should remain displayed until your child is safely in the car. This helps the loop staff ensure students are efficiently put in the correct car for going home.
If a number is not displayed, please be prepared to show your ID if asked by a staff member.
If someone other than the usual adult is picking up your child, the office must receive a phone call by 2:30 p.m. that day. Deviations cannot be made after 2:30 p.m.
If you need an additional car loop number, or if you do not yet have one, please call the office so we can prepare it and send it home with your child.
For efficiency and safety purposes, please stay in your vehicle the entire time you are in the car loop.
Car loop students must be picked up in a vehicle. For safety and efficiency, families walking up the sidewalk to get their child will be directed back to their car to join the loop line.
Please ensure your child is tagged correctly for dismissal. Students tagged for the bus will not be pulled off the bus to join the car loop if an adult is waiting in a vehicle.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation with these procedures. Together, we can keep arrival and dismissal safe and efficient for everyone.
Thank you for your partnership,
Mrs. Wood
