Welcome, new Kearsley Community Schools families! We are so excited to have your child join our Kearsley family and begin this exciting journey with us.
Please sign up for a personalized enrollment/registration appointment for your child entering Kindergarten or Young 5s. - SIGN UP HERE
At this event:
Families will complete the paperwork needed to enroll their child and participate in assessments that help determine placement in either Kindergarten or Young 5s.
Parents will also learn about Kearsley’s nutrition program, transportation, and available supports for our youngest learners.
Each child will receive an educational activities bag and a Kearsley T-shirt to take home.
We’ll also have a fun photo opportunity—featuring their very own “Signing Day!”
Please bring the following required documentation to your apointment:
Your child (if they have not already completed the kindergarten screener at the Pumpkin Patch)
Child’s birth certificate
Guardian’s driver’s license
Immunization records
Proof of residency, 3 examples:
Do you live in the Kearsley Schools District? Residents are required to bring three (3) examples of residency. Acceptable examples include: a rental or mortgage statement, utility bills, and other official documents showing your current address.
Do you live OUTSIDE of the district? You will complete a “Schools of Choice” application. Please call 810-591-7611 for more information.
Oral Health Assessment dated no earlier than February 24, 2026
This can also be completed at your appointment.
NOTE: Current Young 5's students DO NOT need to attend this event. They will automatically be enrolled in Kindergarten.
