Message from Mr. Hibbs

Dear Families and Community Members,

At Buffey Early Childhood, Home of Pumpkin Patch, we believe that the earliest years of a child’s life are the foundation for all future learning, growth, and success. Our program is built on a deep commitment to being both intentional in our practices and student-centered in our approach.

Intentional teaching means that every interaction, environment, and experience is thoughtfully designed with purpose. Our educators carefully plan learning opportunities that nurture curiosity, support developmental milestones, and respond to each child’s unique needs. From the materials we select to the questions we ask, everything we do is guided by a clear understanding of how young children learn best.

Being student-centered means that children are at the heart of every decision we make. We honor each child’s voice, interests, and individuality. By observing and listening closely, our teachers create meaningful learning experiences that build on what children already know and care about. This approach fosters confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

At Buffey Early Childhood, we see children as capable, curious, and full of potential. Our role is to guide, support, and inspire them in a safe and engaging environment where they feel valued and understood.

Thank you for trusting us to be part of your child’s early learning journey. Together, we are building a strong foundation that will support them for years to come.

Warm regards,

Douglas Hibbs
Early Childhood Principal / Director
