Kearsley High School has received an “A” - placing it in the 90th percentile of all high schools in the state from the 2018 Michigan Public High School Context and Performance (CAP) Report Card.

This report gives parents an updated tool for comparing schools, and takes into consideration varying demographics.

Controlling for differences in the socioeconomic status of the students each school serves provides a more accurate assessment of a school’s performance, as research has shown that student backgrounds can have a large impact on academic performance.

While this is a ranking for high schools, this is a reflection of the work by every educator in our district – from our kindergarten teachers to our Senior English teachers and everyone in between.

It is a reflection of the systems we have in place, from our interventionists to our instructional coaches.

We have the hardest-working, and most dedicated staff around.

It also is a strong indication that we continue to hold our kids to a higher standard and expect them to reach for those higher goals.

We continue to be proud to be Hornets!
